It has been a long time since I have posted anything, we have been very busy getting into a new house and getting ready for Little Guy. The weather up here is finally getting warm and we are so excited to be moving this weekend (finally!). I am getting very large and can't wait to get this baby here, I am looking forward to walking without a waddle and being able to see my feet again Align Centersoon.
Today Mir had to write a poem in her Language Arts class about where she is from, it made me tear up a little and I knew the folks in Utah would like it too. Gramps & Lola, this is for you:
Where I'm From
I am from that fresh cut grass, soft under my sunburned feet.
I am from the swinging screen door, from homemade bread and perfectly pressed Levis.
I am from 108 to 3 degrees, from muttin' bustin' and sequins.
I am from the County Fair and from banana Creamies melting in the hot July sun.
I am from Grandma Hammond's Christmas Eves and a "How's your mom?" at the grocery store.
I am from "Cowboy Up!", from "Forget the Danger!"
I am from that old red truck, from windows rolled down on the dry, dusty road.
I am from forgive and forget, from always remember.
