Um, ya this picture us supposed to be on the bottom with the other game pictures, but I can't get it to move so here you go! Come back to it!

This weekend my mom, Amie, Mikah, Brennen & Aiden came up to see us. They drove all night on Wednesday and the little boys came walking into my office about 11:30am on Thursday - YAY!!!! We had such a good weekend, I am so glad they made the drive to see us.
Friday we got on the ferry and went to Pike's Market. We got lots of fresh veggies and some great King Salmon for dinner. Lola also got a huge self esteem boost by being hit on by the doughnut man and having her picture taken about 127 times (she was walking Al, who is incredibly popular with the tourists - well with everyone really!) It was crowded, but the weather was perfect.

On our way home we couldn't resist the fish & chip stand right on the water, well my mom & I had fish & chips, everyone else had a hot dog! The boys had a great time sharing their fries with the seagulls.

Friday on our way down to the ferry I noticed that the blackberries were ripe and mentioned that I would soon have to do blackberry jelly. Well no need to wait and do it alone - that night we went up to Battlepoint Park and picked enough blackberries for 3 batches of jelly!
My mom is the best, she also brought me fresh corn and helped my bottle corn relish and freeze a whole bunch of it for us. We also made her some blueberry jam to take home to Utah. I have a feeling if we lived closer together we would have a great time finding all sorts of stuff to bottle!

Then every night we would "crown in up" - that is Brennen's way of saying we played our all time favorite card game, 5 Crowns. I wish I could say we stayed up late playing it but we were usually exhausted from our busy day & in bed by 11! Mikah is sending me more pictures from his camera so stay tuned (I haven't even mentioned the Ballard Market, HempFest 2009, or the Bicycling Nudists Parade!!). I had a great time with my fam, I always cry when it is time to say goodbye. Thanks for making the drive up here you guys- I love you!!!!
